Vikas Gupta started his career as an intern at Balaji Telefilms when he was just 17, but got fired after four days. However, he didn’t give up and later became one of the youngest creative heads at Balaji Telefilms, working under TV director Deeya Singh. Interestingly, the person who fired him initially later recognized his talent and called him back.
In Mumbai, Gupta began writing for Bhimsain Khurana, director of the Bollywood film “Gharaonda.”
His TV career took off when he joined Balaji Telefilms as a creative director, contributing to series like “Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi…” (2005-2008), “Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil” (2008-2010), and “Kitani Mohabbat Hai” (2009). In 2012, he founded Lost Boy Media Productions, producing and writing shows like “The Serial” (2012) and “MTV Webbed” (2013-2016).
Gupta pitched several shows to TV channels under Lost Boy Media Productions, including “Gumrah: End of Innocence” (2012-2016), earning him award nominations. He briefly tried acting but left the TV serial “Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani” (2010) after a short stint.
