Mannara Chopra moved to Mumbai after completing her education in Delhi, where she began her modeling career before transitioning into the advertising industry. She starred in 40 commercials for brands including Suzuki, Farhan Akhtar, and Imtiaz Ali; she also did commercials for Parle Marie, Dabur Amla, and Myntra, three of which she did with her cousin Priyanka Chopra.
She claimed that the Dabur Amla commercial gave her “instant recognition” and led to an offer for a Telugu movie. Chopra, who first starred in the Ganna commercial, also sang the theme song for the film Gaana, “Bas Bajna Chahiye,” written by Amit Trivedi. She had training in hip-hop and belly dance, and before making her feature debut, she worked as a fashion designer and assistant choreographer.

Mannara began her acting career in 2014 and signed up for Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi movies. Initially credited under her birth name, Chopra made her acting debut in the Telugu film Prema Geema Jantha Nai (2014), where she played a “very talkative college-going girl” opposite Sreerama Chandra.
In the same year, Chopra debuted in a Hindi film Zid, costarring with Karanvir Sharma and directed by Anubhav Sinha. Reviews were divided on her depiction of an obsessive lover. Although noting that she required “a good deal more of experience,” Koimoi’s Mohar Basu referred to her as “radiant.”. The movie was a successful commercial endeavor.
